Weekend Retreats

Elevate retreats are unique weekends that occur twice each year and are dedicated to helping students connect to God, build new friendships with others and get to know their leaders at a greater level.

The retreat environment is set up to allow for plenty of fun that includes dramas, videos, outdoor activities and of course lots of food! However, primarily retreats help students to engage God in His presence and experience life-changing ministry through worship, teaching and prayer. Students and parents rave about the spiritual impact of Elevate Retreats and many testimonies of students getting saved at these weekends is always exciting!

The Fall Retreat is Disciple-Now Style Retreat.

Families in the church open up their homes to small groups of students and leaders allowing a safe place for small group ministry times, breakfasts and places to sleep. This retreat builds community in the church and gives families a chance to show love for students. The retreat is local and all sessions and most meals are held at the church.

Why do we do a Fall Retreat

At Elevate, one of our passions is to see students live for something bigger than themselves. The Fall Retreat is one of the ways in which we seek to stretch and grow students spiritually, by opening up their eyes to what is going on in the world around them and help them realize that through Christ, they have the ability to make a difference. Seeing students surrender their lives for the cause of Christ is ultimately the goal of our fall retreat.

The Spring retreat is held at a retreat center.

This weekend is devoted to the topic of purity, dating and relationships. This retreat helps students get away from the distractions and busyness of life in an ultimate guys versus girls competition weekend environment! Full of various activities, a late night cook-out and a huge game of dodge-ball, students love this retreat. Of course, the spiritual focus of purity in relationships is sure to stir students to learn what God says about this important aspect of their lives and gives them an opportunity to respond to the message of purity in a practical way!

Why do we do a Spring Retreat

The reason we choose to take a whole weekend and focus on the topic of relationships is because students face challenges in this area every day. Our desire is for students to be equipped to overcome the very real temptations, hurts and mistakes they experience so that they can move into a place of blessing in their relationships by committing to obey God’s word in this area of their life. Throughout the weekend, students are split into guy/girl small groups to process through what God is speaking to them and gives opportunities to receive ministry and prayer from their leaders. It is a powerful weekend with a powerful message!
